Thats what happens when you pay minimum wage and skip the background checks.
Bezos is the richest man on earth and he just cant bring himself to pay a decent wage or hire enough workers. As much money as he's making people should be on 6 hour shifts and NOT getting burned out.

100% agree.
And yet, I just can't stop ordering from there.
I've boycotted/avoided countless other business that I hate the owners/policies and it's easy as pie. But Amazon has a grip on me and I hate it.

Free shipping to Hawaii is what got me hooked. Add that to the fact that I was compelled to order stuff above and beyond my essential needs because I wanted to make certain that the annual membership fee I paid was less than the accumulated shipping I'd pay if I had shopped elsewhere.

My brother in law is a 3rd party driver. It's a way for them to not have to pay benefits and to pay lower wages while having them perform the same function. The days of Fed Ex or UPS hiring drivers and handlers and offering them good paying jobs is over. I can only assume that profits for the shipping companies have only increased, so it's not like they could actually still offer decent compensation to full time workers and avoid 3rd party all together. That was sarcasm, Fe Ex for example has had their revenue do quite nicely since 2009.

From my understanding the main issue for Amazon delivery drivers is that the number of packages per hour they expect you to deliver is insane and so people are probably dumping them while saying 'delivered' to make up time in their quota.

Working from home I see the delivery drivers every day. We generally get 1 Fedex, 2 UPS, and 2 Amazon trucks a day. 1 of the Amazon guys is by far the slowest and has been for a long time. The other Amazon guy runs from his truck to houses, but tends to be slower in his truck than the Fedex and UPS people.

Obviously completely anecdotal, it just doesn't seem like the prime guys are being pushed that much harder than the legacy guys.

I don't think that could go undetected for any amount of time at all.
