It doesn't matter to the repubs how much good for the nation Obama could have accomplished if the repubs didn't put up a wall of "no's" in front of him from his first day in office.
Like those no's stopped him from passing his stimulus or Obamacare...

Obama has no one to blame but himself. Where are HIS solutions to our problems?

And don't give me the "President doesn't write laws BS." It's that case then we don't need Obama since we can find someone else to NOT write any laws or NOT come up with an solutions.

Just look at the way that the left wing writers are starting to savage the guy. Even the biggest cool-aid drinkers of all have had their fill and are starting to get sick.

Aside from being black he wasn't very exotic at all.

I checked out his famous speech at the Dem Convention and clearly, he is an exceptional man who could, if given a second term, do many good things for the nation. I really want to see how he'd behave as a lame duck with nothing to lose.

But then, that would be the repub's worst nightmare come true, wouldn't it?

The no's turned both of those items into horrific abominations that nobody thought possible.

Obama has no one to blame but himself. Where are HIS solutions to our problems?

Buried under an avalanche of repub no's or "compromised" into uselessness.

And don't give me the "President doesn't write laws BS." It's that case then we don't need Obama since we can find someone else to NOT write any laws or NOT come up with an solutions.

Well, that's not his job is it? However, his veto power gives him a lot of leverage over how he influences the legislation that he has to sign or legislation that he promoted. In this regard, his fingerprint is on every piece of legislation that got put on his desk and passed into law.

Just look at the way that the left wing writers are starting to savage the guy. Even the biggest cool-aid drinkers of all have had their fill and are starting to get sick.

I think if you took a look at my recent posts I'm right in there with anyone else who's been critical of how Obama has caved in to repub's (Tea Party) demands. However, I'm not going to abandon the guy because he still has a lot going for him, provided he stands up to the unrealistic and nation-damaging demands of the Tea Party and fights hard for the principles he espouses and knows he should defend.

I'm only just now starting to pay attention to the players...

But really... right now... in this stupid TMZ style political circus there are more clowns than lion tamers. Wake me up when the clown:lion tamer ratio shrinks up a bit.

Then I'll pay attention again.

When do the primaries start? Anyone in the D camp have the balls to run against the colossal incumbant failure? Any D have a better idea that doesn't involve the demise of the US?

Really, at this point I'm just wondering how long before I bail to a country that elects people who have mastered basic arithmetic.

Perry for President is kind of like a court jester dancing on a wooden pole - you aren't sure why and how he got there, but the king likes it and that's all that matters.

Exceptional? As in, exceptionally incompetent? What exactly has he accomplished in his first term that's so terrific that we'd want to see a second term?

So... a religious nutjob?

Well, if he gets voted for president, the US will lose whatever credibility it has left.

Bush jr had the table made for him, a republican at the helm of the worst financial crisis since the war? 2012 will serve us the end of the world.

The last thing the Republican primary needs is real competition for Romney. Perry is not a Mormon and Texas is perceived to have weathered the economic storm quite well. He has a shot, unfortunately.

Rick Perry is an open borders proponent. This will turn a lot of people off.

There's that whole "perception" thing again... Texas finances are a mess, and the whole jobs miracle is deceptive, following the principle that damned near any job is better than no job...

Perry's got great hair, apparently believes his own lies, luvs Jesus & the death penalty, too- what more could the mindless segment of the Republican base ask for?

Rick Perry is a crook. I live in Austin. He is well known for padding the pockets of his corp buddies with govt. contracts. He probably wouldn't be any worse than Obama though as a president.

He's gonna pick Jesus as his VP.

Oh jesssusss...

But yeah... I've said before I think he looks presedential. Unless it's because I think he looks like that Josh brolin guy who played Bush in the movie.

Pick your crazy female, Palin or Bachman as a VP and you have a strong ticket. Extreme religious + extreme dumb = extreme quantity of votes.

Sounds like a dream come true for the mindless segment of the Democrat base.

I will admit the job market here is MUCH better than other places in the US. The housing market never really bubbled or tanked too much, but that is more because there is land everywhere to build. The state finances aren't horrible but the property tax in my country increased about 50%(what we paid on our house) in the last few years.

EDIT.

I forgot to add. The Austin area is growing extremely fast. I see at least 3-4 cars with Cali plates on the way home every day. The funny thing is you can spot a cali person a mile away when mixed with a bunch of Austinites. Very material culture out there for sure.

I'm sorry, but Repubs currently have a lock on "Mindless" & have for decades. The truth of that is so obvious that only the mindless can ignore it...

Nevermind the $25B shortfall in the Texas budget.

Really. Just forget it, because Perry is a "success!"
I'm guessing the guy with a $25 billion state deficit is going to have a slight edge on the guy with the $1.9 trillion federal deficit . . .

The more I hear the leftists rage about the guy the better he sounds.

And Rick Perry is just bad enough to actually win. A vote for Perry is a vote to lop off another 10% off your standard of living, unless of course you make more than a million a year.
