Great segment on Fox News recently. Apparently Japanese internment camps was a great idea and we should use that strategy today. I guess people don't learn from history.

You may need to check your link.... internment talk not found. It was briefly mentioned by someone who appears to be the anti-profiling contributor.... but not in the context of your thread title. It was mentioned in a historical context. Thank you for making we waste 6 minutes.

If you cut and paste the link from another discussion forums without checking the content of the video you posted.... you should go back and tell those people what morans they are.

Just the muslims in the US ofc.

But to be fair, the video is mostly about profiling. One guy says Japanese were put in camps during WWII (which is true) but it seems to me he is saying 'we did much worse things the last time, so profiling is not so bad'.

No connection between the OP and the link, lots of outrage over an idea that wasn't discussed. P&N is getting stupider.

We should capture idiots and also make people take tests in-order to be a parent.

Mmm smores.

On a serious note, there will always be something to hate on, that's just life. Someone will always be last. As lame as this is, the "learn to coexist" bumper sticker comes to mind. Greed, anger and manipulation cause wars.

(Wasn't talking about MJ to be clear).

I believe in camps.
Camps for tea baggers, and certainly the ultra right wing so caused religions inspired republicans.
Just imagine the sanity that would return to politics, society, and everyday life in general.
No more gay bashing for the sake of religious ideology, no more attacks on women s reproductive rights, no more of this imperial attitude from religious leaders.
No more judging.

It's worth a try....

I'm not a big ww2 buff but wasn't there only one attack and the Americans admittingly knew about it before hand?

There were 3 that I can recall.
Pearl Harbor
Fire balloon attack
Invasion of Aleutian Islands

Also found links for 2 sub attacks on US soil. Bombardment of Ellwood Oil field. Bombardment of Fort Stevens, the sub also launched a plane that dropped bombs elsewhere.

BTW, can someone explain what is meant by 'profiling' exactly and how it would work? I mean, I understand racial profiling (hey black guy in an expensive car, probably a drug dealer, lets pull him over) but they specifically mention it should be religious profiling and not racial.

So, how do you recognize a muslim? If I was a terrorist and wanted to blow up an airplane I wouldn't go dressed up Taliban style. I'd make sure I look like a regular western guy. Also, there are plenty of non-Arab muslims.

If they're talking about monitoring websites and internet traffic, I'd say it's impossible not to profile. Or is the NSA doing the pc thing and monitoring a fundamentalist christians site for every jihad site they look at?

Had to reset my irony meter after this one.
