Agreed and up that figure to 40 years.

The crazy part is that the 60's seemed to kick it all off, IMHO. People exercising their rights, unions at all time high, the ruling class came up with the trickle down /social wedge issue plan and it's a sure win when huge swaths of the population dont actually believe in american ideals.

Shit man, not even for people to believe it. He has 10,000+ lies while in office, and unwavering support from his base. They don't care, as long as the libtard tears flow. Lie, cheat, steal, commit treason, no prob, just let the spice flow.

Needs a cry emote. Maybe multi emotes. It's funny, sad, and all too true.

"Stock Markets Up Record Numbers. For this year alone, Dow up 18.65%, S&P up 24.36%, Nasdaq Composite up 29.17%."

it's been proven right over and over again that Incumbent presidents don't lose often when the econ is strong if they stayed on msg to voters.

but Trump is uniquely incapable of staying on message. If he was relentless in his focus on the state of the economy between now and next November, he would undoubtedly make it more likely he wins a second term.
But Trump has demonstrated -- throughout his presidency and his life -- that he lacks the attention span and/or discipline to stay on any message at all.

yeah for the Pres having the attention span of a gnat.
lets flush our toilets 20times in salute to him! (google that if you don't know what im talking about)

Stick a fork in Trump.

Stick a fork in Trump.

Because filthy commie liberals and demon-c-rats want to out the messiah? Please, if they had any power they would have won 2016 in the first place. All that matters is the great wall of Republican denial, Alt-Reality, and their refusal to do anything resembling moral character.

The Repub Party has given its base two choices to pick from now that their fake party principles of family values, personal responsibility and fiscal conservancy have been forever flushed out and then down Trump's golden gilded toilet bowl:

Either vote Republican OR watch the nation descend into a living hell on earth, full of terrorists from the Middle East coming in from Mexico, brown people taking jobs from white folks, fetus killers running amok, the suppression of well meaning patriotic racist nativist Americans, all lumped into the evil and dreaded "socialist/communist rebellion" that wants to rip the guts and heart of the nation under the disingenuous guise of giving everyone affordable health care and education, better paying jobs and a higher standard of living for the working class and the poor.

That's communism you see.

Democrats appear to have abandoned healthcare, they really should hammer healthcare and pay 24/7

More focus needs to be on the economy and jobs, and stopping the stupid trade war. Farmers need markets for their crops. Trucking companies are losing bigly. They need to hammer on the economy and how they rescued it last time, and how it will take a dive again if Trump gets a second term.

It'll be hard for Trump to embellish and lie? Eh?!?!?!
Maybe for people to believe it, but he is 100% certainly going to do it.

It's more that he won't have much space to talk about it as he might like. Well, that and hopefully his Democrat opponent will point out that he'll be lying about the economy.

1: Deny. Hannity has him covered with narrative and bullet points.
2: Deflect. It's the Democrat's fault for not passing Trump's legislation.

That'll sell big with Republican voters. Question is how the independents take it. How many have joined the Cult of Trump where Alt-Reality rules the day, and facts have no meaning. Granted, that doesn't necessarily change our approach. Our need to do what we can to reach those who can still be reached. But damn if Deny and Deflect won't rule the 2020 election. Clash of Civilizations step aside, America faces a clash of Realities.

To me the answer is to look at the two periods where Trump’s approval ratings went from his steady state of ‘pretty bad’ into ‘catastrophic’ and those were when he tried to take away health care from millions of people and when he passed a huge tax cut for rich people. The public hated both of those things.

Now it’s going to be nearly impossible for the democratic nominee to get the media to focus on those things due to the inevitable blizzard of lies and bullshit that will come out and so it’s going to be really annoying to see the endless think pieces of ‘why aren’t the Democrats focusing on X’ when they are actually laser focused on it, but such is life.

Still though, every debate and every public appearance should note these two things very clearly. When Trump got into office his very first major policy effort was to take health care away from millions of Americans so he could give more money to rich people. When this failed because the country revolted against it they decided to go with plan B, which was to just give money to rich people.

Farmers are the reason I throw a party every time the bank takes a farm. After losing their shirts, and having their wives leave them for the city they say they'll still vote for Trump.

People that hand out razors, while stretching out there necks, forfeit their right to whine about bleeding.
