I'm selling a square radio and amp that came out of a chevy k1500 pickup.

I'm getting $40 for it plus $15 shipping.

It amazes me how people will buy old crap that one would think isn't worth hardly anything...
Jeez, I should start ebaying the old factory radios I still have in my parents' basement...

One AM/FM/cassette from Trans Am
One AM/FM/Cassette from Mustang
One AM/FM/Cassette from Buick Century
One AM/FM/Cassette/CD from Town and Country minivan
One AM/FM/Cassette from Grand Marquis
Plus probably a couple others I've forgotten about

$hit, that's like $200-250! I thought they were junk. People on Ebay really will buy anything.

Actually the AM/FM cassettes wont get you any money, but that Town and country minivan cd player... those go for about $100 easy on ebay... sell it man!

Chevy stock radios are not a standard size. So people either have to buy a special sized radio to fit the hole, or buy a stock one off eBay.

:Q Wow, I should dig it out and sell it. Trouble is, the buttons don't work that great - you have to push them REALLY hard sometimes to get them to register 🙁. That's why it was taken out.

I bet someone would buy it anyway...hmm...

Or get a standard sized aftermarket unit + installation kit. That's what I put in my car.

Couldn't have said it any better myself angrymaxx... 😀

There's only been 3 people who have bid on it, it's just been bid up pretty high.

I was considering throwing it out which is why I had to show off it's price on AnandTech.

I remember when I used to be told that Elite members had their own special forum (or maybe we do 😱)

But no, I think people were specifically advertising their ebay auctions. While I'm posting my auction here, it's not with the intent to increase the price or exposure, it's to admire the system of putting old crap you were about to throw out on ebay and making decent money off of it.

That's pretty much it.
