last time it stormed really bad, it knocked the power out, which messed my puter all up....took me 2 hours to get everything right again...I really need to get a UPS

Yeah, it has rained all day here (iowa) since early afternoon. It got really bad for a little while, and is raining decently now. Lots of thunder and lightning, kinda nice actually, I missed it over the winter 🙂

I live an hour north of there. I'm hoping to move there, too....Peoria is NYC compared to this county. 😛

actually I have 2 surge protectors...how are you supposed to run all your stuff off the 2 wall outlets???

That is one thing I like about living in a city...I have never had the power go out once without it being scheduled. Back home, every time the wind blew, whoops! power lines down! Electricity out for three hours!

The city I live in (Orlando) has to have the worste power grid in the country. There are areas of town that need double the power to run than they have and during peak hours of the day lights go dim in some buildings. The power goes out here maybe three times a week. It's terrible.
