It's SOOO Sad watching Derrick Coleman. He could have been SOOO good.

too bad he wasted most of his career with a bad attitude.

i'm watching the game and he has some SERIOUS skills, too bad he's past his prime.

He SHOULD have been one of the all time great PF

that's why it's so sad. he should have become a household name.

he was an amazing player in college and he does have SERIOUS skills. 🙁

too bad he didn't really dedicate himself to the game until he was way past his prime.

it really is sad.

Ahh ok, I googled him. He's a basketball player, that's why I don't know him...I don't watch basketball.

even tho you don't watch basketball, you probably know who Charles Barkley or Karl Malone is right??

Coleman should have had that kind of a rep.

One of the worst producing #1 picks ever.

agreed, but in retrospect, would you NOT have picked him top 5 if we went back in time??

he had the skills to be drafted #1. he just didn't live up to it.

Well, I'm familiar with Barkley because I live in Auburn and Malone...all I could tell you is he's a basketball player.

Nets, 76ers, Charlotte, 76er's.

but basically as vi_edit said, nets and sixers.

during his first five years with the Nets, he averaged 20 ppg and 10 rpg. those are actually very very good numbers. he has more skill than Chris Webber and is basically the same size at 6'10" 270 lbs.

very very underwhelming career compared to his talent.

I think of Vin Baker in the same way... so much potential wasted does suck to watch. Another guy like that is Ryan Leaf... WHAT AN IDIOT. It's just amazing to think of all the fame/money these guys throw away...

ya, baker and coleman seem to have similar stats too.

fortunately baker still has some time left to revive his career, coleman has been relegated primarily to role player

i guess we can just be glad he didnt come to the motor city to play, he'd probably killed himself by now. high on crack and playin with his gun, lol

The Nets had it real good with Coleman, Kenny Anderson, and the late Drazen Petrovic...so much potential with those three on the court.

wasn't Jayson Williams part of that team?

talk about a lot of disaster.
