It's snowing!

This is the second time it has snowed since we moved here 4 years ago. Supposedly it's very rare to see it here in Vancouver, WA. Big fat flakes too! And it's only November! All you people from places that have been getting snow since October can keep to yourself. 😛 This is a big deal here.

Been really warm in NYC for this time of year. I actually had to take my windbreaker off to avoid breaking a sweat outside today...

Really? I thought it was a some-what common thing. When I lived in Portland 5-6 years ago we got a little snow here and there...

I was wearing shorts in WI on Thanksgiving. Al Gore is right.

Al Gore has been wrong so far up here in Alaska...been colder than hell the entire month of November.

Several inches here and still coming down. Pumpkin Ridge, north of Hillsboro/North Plains (halfway between there and the Columbia.)

Aw..it's starting to slow down. Too bad it's the melt-as-soon-as-it-touches-the-ground type. 🙁

Okay, I know you know this and were probably being silly, but just as a reminder whether snow melts or not has nothing to do with what "type" it is, but rather ground temperature.

I grew up in Vancouver, WA. I remember a few Thanksgiving snows when I was a kid, but they were pretty rare. Supposedly we're going get a couple of inches tonight, but I'll believe that when I see it.

North of Seattle got dumped yesterday. I heard Bellingham got a foot-and-a-half.

LOL no sh!t! Today was the first morning in four+ weeks that it was above zero when I woke up. Also the first time we got snow since late Octover. (only 1/4 inch but it counts!)

Although to be fair, Barrow and Deadhorse have been quite warmer than usual all month, often times in the 20's.

Vancouver, BC > Vancouver, WA 😉

Well, duh! Vancouver, WA is just a largish residential suburb of Portland, and not really a city in its own right (although it likes to think so for some reason).

Hmmm.... Dixie Mountain? Would it be worth the drive up there for some fun in the snow?

Vancouver, BC > Vancouver, WA? Sorry, but I'm going to have to disagree. Maybe Victoria or Toronto or something. VBC was just a little too citified for me.

And out of nowhere we have some real sticking snow here in Beaverton now. Already looks like an ugly commute on the 217. This should be fun if it really comes down, Portlanders are in general the worst snow drivers on earth.

Yeah, it's pretty bad up here. The temp is now around 17 degrees with a wind chill well below zero. It should be fun getting into work tomorrow since it's supposed to snow tonight as well. And stupid me, I bought chains for Walmart a couple of years ago. The cables are spaced very far apart. I guess my signature should fit well 😉

bah... damn snow in Seattle. My car couldn't make it up the hill out of my neighborhood 🙁. Ended up missing my class and we had a test today.
