As much as I like snow, it makes getting around a big and messy pain in the ass. I'm just hoping for a cold, relatively dry winter.

I grew up in the stuff and absolutely HATE snow. As someone already said, snow if fun when you're a kid, but when you "grow up" and have to work in it, drive in it, shovel the stuff, etc., it gets to be a real PITA. We've been in Kahleeforneeya for 21 years and don't miss snow one single bit...(but it's nice to have lots of it up in the mountains!)

it's a pleasant 75F here, though I wish it was closer to 65 already... ah well, it'll come soon enough
