Whats more likely is that ATI/Nvidia want to milk their older cards as much as possible. Hell, my of my "gamer" friend thinks that the 6800 series perfroms worse than a 9800Xt...

But in all honesty this guy is a moron but he is filty rich and extremely generous...

:roll: Dude, it's not like they've produced 100's of thousands of cards and they have sold out. There have probably been under 1000 XT's released since this thing was paper launched in May. They were supposed to be available in quantity over a month ago.

we're going on july and it's damn near impossible to score one of the new cards.

I want to get one before I get married. God knows I wouldn't be able to afford anything after that

Yeah, it's been tough trying to find any of these cards. I decided this year to get either the 6800Ultra or X800XT PE, which ever was available to me first. It was by sure luck I happened to stumble across an opportunity to get the X800XT PE.
