Resets the processor setting to default to enable a boot when you have gone past the cpus ability to post in the cpu settings.

I read about the Artic Silver all over
my 650 I put little dabs on the corners of the shim and a dab on the core will my dab being a newbie is enough for 10 CPUs, I had it all over the place and it don't come off with alcohol it just smears all over..
But my CPU is working fine..

Also to remove Loctite a razor and alochol work great for big blobs ..

Remove everything except the CPU, vid card and ram, take those 3 thing out, and put them back in and see if they are seated correctly. Then reset the BIOS too, then see if it boots.

Did you have a user's manual for the pro2.
In mine, under Diagnostic LED Function it say's,
" four red LED's will hang-- The processor might be damage or not installed properly".
