$3950 worth of damage. Car is worth a little over 4k. So i am guessing the insurance company will be sending me a check soon for what they think my car's value is.
I have a question though, I hadn't had my car very long before it was hit. And I have not yet received my title in the mail (3-4 weeks is what the lady said).
Can this pose a problem? The lady entered the info into her computer when I got it transferred, just no paper title yet. Does it instantly go into the system?

It wasn't. But the title was signed over to me before the accident, I just had not got the transfer officially until after. But the car was signed over to me before the accident by the owner.

Yes, he signed it over to me, but I had not got it officially put it my name. He did sign it over though before the accident.

As long as it was signed over to you I believe the car is legally yours even if you don't have a new title yet. IANAL though, so check with your local county treasurer or insurance to be sure.
