Just got back from seeing Reloaded.

Just because it was released a couple of months earlier doesn't necesarily mean it wasn't a rip-off. A movie's release date has very little to do with when it was produced.

And just because the movies have some small similarities does not mean one is a rip off of the other. All movies have their influences

ok, consider this. the matrix was much larger in scope. filming, editing, graphics all must have taken much longer than that in 13th floor. also realize that when the matrix was filmed, matrix reloaded and matrix revolutions had already been written. it takes a long time to write a script for 3 movies not to mention that conceiving the idea must have also taken a long time. (the wachowski brothers had originally written the script as a trilogy). all things considered, i seriously doubt that 13th floor was produced before the matrix. if anything, the 13th floor was a [lame] rip off of the matrix.

Hey, I haven't even seen the 13th Floor, I was just throwing out another view. You're probably right.
