I think Obama would make an excellent President if he had a divided Congress. I disagree with much of his ideology, but if he had to work harder (with both parties) to muddle through domestic policy, he could be pretty damn good even in my books. Pretty damn good as big lobbyist loving Presidents go, that is...

Has...the author not studied our history prior to 1973? I think we had divisive issues on all of those fronts prior to those incidents....

Let's put it this way. If the repubs do not make significant gains (i.e. at least 30 total seats) in November, with the economy the way it is, and with the relatively unpopular healthcare bill, then it will be the biggest political debacle in the history of the republican party.
