it's official now. Everyone in Michigan has to move out of the country if they want a job.

don't we (michigan) have the highest unemployment in the country?

with GM's plan to lay off 25,000 engineering jobs over 3 years, it isn't looking good for the great lake state.

I think we're 3rd in the country right now in unemployment. I just moved back last August from GA, got a job right away, my wife's just started her 3rd job since we've moved back (they've all been for better pay/work). There are plenty of jobs here, I'm thinking we just have too many unskilled laborers and yes, those jobs are getting few and far between.

I have a family member who works at Brunswick. He has been there for a long time. 20+ years iirc. He mentioned they are looking to keep about 25 people and right now he figures he is about #30 in the line.

Just get rid of Michigan and its horrible football team. Problem solved. Screw the blue, Go Bucks 05.

So do/did you actually go to OSU or you just some wannabe living vicariously through others?

My brother goes there and my moms entire side of the family graduated there. I was also born in Columbus and will hopefully end up going to grad school there. 37-21.

So you didn't go there?

Anyways, there are a few job openings at my company. Takata has a bunch of openings. too. There aren't very many jobs available for factory workers, though.

But don't be naive and think that your job is safe. I'm sure there's a Mexican/Indian/Chinese person that's willing to do your job for less, also.

Don't even think that they're not capable of doing highly skilled work, because they can.
