they shouldn't have won that first game against the knicks either. they'd be 0-fer.

they have juwan howard who's decent.
and pippen is overrated.

pfft, study your basketball before you speak. he might not have won any rings without MJ, but he was definitely a great all around player and one of the best defenders ever.

i actually don't like pippen much at all, but i still have to give him props.

pippen is an above average player, even a very good player, but ESPN put him in the top 50 greatest players of all time.

he is not anywhere near one of the top 50 greatest players of all time.

i think espn's top 50 greatest players is a joke. not that i don't agree with some of the players in it, but you get great players coming out every year. you'd eventuallly have to update the list, adding some players and taking away some.

you really think GREAT players come out every year?

They shot themselves in the foot by trading Miller away. Maybe, with a few more losses T-Mac will follow through on his earlier comments and retire

At the time they did the trade with Memphis, I believe Miller was having his problems with back spasms, and wasn't averaging very will. I'm glad they were able to see through the injury, as he has become a key player for the Grizzlies. Hopefully Williams will get over his bout with it soon and be back on the court.

1995 - Kevin Garnett
1997 - Tim Duncan
1998 - Dirk Nowitzki
1999 - Shawn Marion, Andrei Kirilenko, Elton Brand
2002 - Yao Ming, Amare Stoudemire
2003 - LeBron James, Carmelo Anthony

i think those are some pretty damned good players right there. while yao, amare, lebron, and melo are nothing to go crazy about, they have already made huge impacts on their teams and will only continue to get better.

Garnett and Duncan GREAT

NOwitzki, Marion, Kirilenko, Brand, Ming, Stoudemire, James and ANthony are NOT GREAT. they have yet to lick the boots of the GREATs of the NBA.

couple years ago, Penny Hardaway came out and you'd prolly call him GREAT. Now what? What about Grant Hill?

Pippen has to be the most overrated in history. Yeah he is a good player with skillz, but Jordan made him who he was. Look at what happened to his game when Jordan left. He was just another good player. But he is NOT a top 50 player of all time, the only reason he got that designation was because Jordan won him all of those titles.
