it's official! My sore throat has graduated to Laryngitis.

I have been dealing with a serious sore throat since monday (w/fever) and after the fever broke my throat is more sore than ever. Now I wake up (after 4 hours sleep/ night) barely able to talk.

I feel like crap and I can't swallow anything without great pain. This really sucks. :|

anyone have some good advice in dealing with this?

Maybe you want to make sure it not strep

If it is viral and assuming you are otherwise healthy,
Gargle with warm saturated salt solution. Tastes awful, but helps. Get some ibuprofen (tylenol is useless) and some rest.

I am waiting for my test results. I went to the doctor on Tuesday. I should know something after 3:00 PM est.

Tried the gargling, but is not helping much. I am taking advil and I try to rest but I can't seem to sleep.

I am drinking plenty of liquids.
