OK so the specs aren't groundbreaking...

8x4x32x Plextor CDRW
12x Toshiba DVD
Athlon Classic 650
MSI K7PRO
Leadtek 320 II TNT2 32MB
SQ2500 Sound Card
256MB Kingston PC133 SDRAM
20 GB Maxtor 7200rpm HD
17" DigiView Monitor

But I did some inventory of the parts...and my computer is STILL worth more than my (recently purchased I might add) '85 VW Golf.

Heh. Go Fig.

BTW I still love both equally ;)

edit: added details to specs

How in the hell is that worth more than your car? My 600MHz Duron isn't worth more than my '90 Honda CRX. And my CRX was only 1850. Wow...

I had a buddy who's car was deemed unfit to drive by the DMV, they were willing to pay him $1500 to take it off the road permanently. For the longest time his bike was actually worth more than his car.

Holy sh*t! I'd take the money and buy a bike with it! Gosh, paying you NOT to drive. Now I've heard it all. :D

So, disregarding bluebook/pricewatch, which one is more valuable to you?

i have an 1985 nissan maxima. still runs great, just under 100k miles. it's still worth less than my computer, which isn't particularly that expensive (it's my school machine).

You probably spend more time on your computer than in your car, right?

I see no problem with it :D

Like I said before, I enjoy both equally.

I drove an '86 VW Scirocco for nearly 10 years (it was only 3 yrs old when I bought it). Then I had a POS Buick LeSabre that ended up getting stolen. I needed a car ASAP, so I got the Golf. So there ya go.

The thing is, I've been thinking about upgrading my PC, but wouldn't consider getting another car unless something happened to my Golf.

And it's true, I don't spend much time driving but I use my computer several hours a day.

I just thought it was ironic. :)
