Any favorites? I am really wanting a full tower.

CURRENT SETUP:
  • Asus Rampage Formula X48 Motherboard, ATX
  • 4x1GB DDR2 800 Crucial Ballistix Tracer Ram
  • Two HIS ATI Radeon HD 4850 512MB Video cards
  • Corsair 750W PSU
  • One Western Digital GP 5400-7200RPM 1TB Hard Drive
  • Soon, a wireless card
  • Optical drive(SATA)
  • Intel Core 2 Duo E7200 CPU with Stock heat sink
I want to add more hard drives, better cooling and a bigger heat sink on my CPU. What case do you think I should get?

CURRENT IDEAS:
  • Antec 1200 Full Tower Case
  • Cooler Master COSMOS S Full Tower Case
  • Cooler Master COSMOS 1000 Full Tower Case
  • Cooler Master Stacker 830 Full Tower Case
  • Silverstone TJ09 Full Tower Case
  • Silverstone SST-TJ07 Full Tower Case
  • Lian Li PC-P80 Full Tower Case
  • Silverstone TJ10 Full Tower Case

Most of these are WAY out of my price range but the one I am considering the most is the Antec 1200. I definitely would consider the Antec 900 if I can get it for 70$. (Seen it on frys before, but I have no local frys)

The Antec 1200 actually isn't a full tower seeing how it doesn't support EATX mobos.

I vote TJ10 or 09. Fantastic cases, everything in there is well thought of (nice use of thumb screws, separate hard drive chambers, lots of cooling options, removable motherboard tray, watercooling options etc etc) and the case itself is very made from quality material. I also like having a side panel window to show my rig, so naturally i opted for that case as well.

Yes. The cases listed are VERY NICE cases. But I am not a very nicely off. I don't have the almighty dollars for those babies. (I do, but I refuse to spend)

I've been thinking of getting the cosmos. I like the 1000 better. Maybe look at Lancool K7, supposed to be Lian Li like, but cheap.

Take a look at the XClio WT (WindTunnel) or Tagan Monolith (both are the same APlus case). Only thing with these is you need to work with a different airflow pattern, so you'll need other components (like CPU cooler) that works with side flow rather than front to rear... The only other fan you might need is a low and slow front fan to make sure the HDDs get a little breeze.

NZXT Zero. --- Same case I got.

Just remove the "blowhole" fan and if you want the pci-slot holder thing and just use screws.

Don't plan on using a huge tower heatsink though (like tru12-e; it's just t tad too tall.)

CM HAF 932 really needs to be on this list. It's big and quiet, with really good cooling for less money than a lot of the cases on your list.

Also, Antec 900 is not a full tower. You say you want a full tower, so why are you considering the 900? Just because you saw it cheap once? If money is a concern, then most of the cases on your list aren't going to work for you. I believe once we're talking sub-$200 here then the Lian Li and Silverstones are gone, plus the Cosmos S and some versions of the Stacker. That makes your list notably shorter. How cheap is "cheap", really?

Maybe you need to think about what it is you really want, and then come back asking for suggestions?

The Windtunnel while cheap, iirc, is kinda not my style. I never was a fan of the bigger fans that are not really easily bought. I like fans that are 120mm or even 140mm. (Assuming you can find a good 140mm fan; hard) Also the LEDs are way too bright, really not my taste. This case is going to be in the room where I sleep is. That makes it quite difficult for anyone to sleep when there are LEDs either flashing or shining as if you had a star in your room. I always can clip off the LEDs on the fans and such but I prefer NOT to do so, if I can manage. The Tagan Monolith is about the same, so yeah.

The CM HAF 932 is not really my style/cup-of-tea. It isn't really CHEAP either, it's about 150$ without shipping. So, really I could just get an Antec 1200 for the same price(free shipping) and be happier.

Antec 900 might not be a FULL tower, but it fits what I want. When I say Full Tower I just mean a large tower, something that can fit a lot and have good airflow. Mid-size towers typically are not such and that's why I do not like them, often. The Antec 900 is quite large from what I have seen and it provides good airflow.

I think money is a concern for everyone... If it wasn't, I'd just get a custom built case instead. Or maybe I would just buy myself a theater and use that for my screen and then heck, just have a super computer behind. I'm trying to be practical. A lot of the Lian Li and Silverstone cases are outrageously expensive, for something that just HOLDS the pieces together.

Really not into the NZXT cases. They all seem to be "flashy". If I can't use a very large heatsink, I rather not get the case as that would just limit my possibilities.

Thanks.

Enermax UberChakra?

I have one sitting in the closet that I got for around $40 AR last year....it's a very big case with lots of space for your XFired 4850's. It's outdated with cable management and other modern features (hard drive mounting, etc...), but tie wraps and rubber grommets can go a long way for that.
