I just wanted to vent...tired of keeping it to myself. I guess I'm another victum of the new economy.

I "used" to work at OneSoft until I was laid off yesterday. I made it through one round of lay offs before that so I thought I was safe.....man I feel like an idiot for listening to all of the propaganda they fed us about "the new direction of the company"..."stay with the company, it will be worth your while". What did I get for listening and being loyal? A reality check that's what!...f**king bastards.

Well, the world won't stop spinning, but damned if I'm not worried that I won't be able to find a decent job before that last paycheck comes in the mail.
 
hmm. relax. the market is booming for jobs right now.
monster.com or any one of those sites could probably help u a bit.
if all else fails, sell ur computer. u could live off that for a month or so? 🙂

No severance check?

Friend of mine moved to Austin from Altanta to work for a contracting company. He was never assigned to any place and did in house work for 6 weeks before they laid him off first week of December. If that doesn't suck. Fresh out of college, first job, gets laid off right before Christmas. But they at least gave him 6 weeks severance and he is VERY employable (Industrial Design major -- an absolute GOD at computer graphics).
