Regardless of what side of the political spectrum you are on, this is a ridiculous statement. It really does shed some light on why people will let something go when clearly it contradcts FACTS.

So Obama saying "You can keep your doctor" wasn't a lie either then? I am pretty certain he truly believed that too.

If obama believed it to be true, then of course it wasn't a lie. Some (bad) dictionaries are now including the misuse of words, such as accepting "literally" as a term of emphasis, but we don't all have to accept that trend. Just call it a falsehood, or in the case of obama, a mistake (if he didn't know). A lie requires knowingly telling a falsehood.

I totally agree, but the precedent of a former POTUS suing a sitting "POTUS" is not something that this country needs to endure.

No, it is not something this country should have to endure, but it is something that obviously it needs to. We should not have a POTUS that is so obviously slandering a previous POTUS. We should not have a POTUS that puts his own emotional outbursts above the needs of our nation. We should not have a POTUS with such a profound lack of decorum and basic civility.

If Trump believed this to be something that really happened he should have collected evidence of it and then moved forward with the allegations by providing this proof, and then proposed a plan to prevent such a thing happening in the future, and perhaps a directive for the DOJ to start a case. But that is not what he is doing. What he is really doing is just trash talking. He is trying to drag his predecessors name though the mud for his own personal gain, and because he can. He is using his pulpit to bully. He is exacerbating the divisions in our nation to pit us against each other so that we are more interested in fighting each other than finding solutions.

I like that people defending Trump are reduced to the George Costanza defense.

They are not reduced to it.
They were fookin morons from the beginning and were never fans of logic.
Thats WHY they voted for him in the first place. Not much has changed except their excuses get a little worse each day.

Thankfully there has been some attrition already, I've been hearing remorse over Trump votes for weeks. Not enough mind you, but it's encouraging the more I think about it. To have Trump thoughtfully prove his critics correct on so many fronts, so soon after taking office no less, just makes the job that much easier for the conservatives who already stand against Trump to grow their numbers. Il Douche is so hopeless on policy, both foreign and domestic, that his highest and best use at this point is to shore up popular support the way he did in campaign season, hence his continued kiss-his-own-ass tour. Ultimately I feel it will play to his downfall; he's simply too unstable of a douchebag and ran afoul of the Constitution on Day 1. All we have to do is continually remind everyone just how bad the guy is.

I do agree there will probably always be a select group of his supporters that will resist facts and reason no matter what. I also truly believe prolonged anti-Hillary efforts by right wing media for 20+ years helped contribute to this.

I was just in a restaurant for lunch today and overheard some very loud Trump lovers (they are rarely quiet) trying to defend the guy. Those people knew very little about what was going on the world and used absolutely horrible logic to justify him.
I'm not saying they speak for all Trump supporters but I have noticed something very consistent. Anyone I see or hear in the real world who likes Trump tends to be very ignorant and very stupid.
The people that get showcased on the news are even worse than that, but for months I really did not want to believe we had so many morons in America, so I tried not to assume the worst.

http://www.cnn.com/2017/03/17/politics/donald-trump-angela-merkel/

He is fucking nuts and dragging our country down with him.

But in an awkward moment on live television while meeting Chancellor Angela Merkel -- whose cell phone was once tapped by the National Security Agency -- Trump quipped that he and the German leader had something in common.
Trump's response further fueled a controversy about his claims he was wiretapped by Obama -- first made on Twitter two weeks ago -- which have been rejected by senior members of House and Senate Intelligence committees. The White House has produced no evidence to back up the allegations.

The self serving Liberal Media has humiliated it self. They got caught in their own lies and now they are trying to reverse course. Even liberals should be able to rub a few brain cells together and see what's going on.

Here's something else you may have missed while chewing on your lead paint chips..Fmr Interim #DNC Chair Donna Brazile appears to admit giving debate questions to @HillaryClinton's campaign. https://t.co/CkgDe8eaAI https://t.co/g9VaUROzYa

It appears that Democratic analyst Donna Brazile has admitted to sending town hall debate topics to Hillary Clinton‘s presidential campaign while she worked for CNN, calling it "a mistake I will forever regret."
