jeez, worthless frat brat got the job ?

What company is it? I will make sure I never apply there...

He doesn't know for a fact that it was that candidate that got the position. Additionally, it is more than just experience that comes into play when finding the right candidate.

Two of the 5 interviewers told me great job, I nailed every question. Trust me.......the frat douche got the job.

40% is not a majority in making a decision.

yes but when over 50% of the interviewers know the guy, or his brother personally it is a safe bet he got the job. 1 guy had a Masters in pyschology, no sales/customer service experience. Another went to a 22k/year school on a tennis scholarship and whos only experience was teaching tennis, and lastly frat douche who worked at home depot for a year. Me......BestBuy for 2 years, Gateway 2 years, sears 2 years and a Customer Service rep for the past 2 months.

You show proof that it was this guy that got it and then I will believe. However, your current pissed-off word does not mean sh!t as other candidates could have easily gotten the position.

unless you did terrible, they wouldn't say to your face "You did badly".
it's common for interviewers to say you do good but don't hire you later.
maybe you didn't do good or maybe they didn't like your personality, etc.
there are too many reasons.

Looking back at it, there were many shady things. I never saw the office I would be working at, my 1st interview was at one of the branch managers clients place of business, the female interviewer was talking about the office...I said I have never seen it...she was like where did you interview I told her....she was like thats weird. Salary was NEVER discussed, when asked all that was said was negotiable. I am guessing the frat boy was #1 candidate and all the others were just there for show (just in case frat douche was a complete idiot and couldnt get the job).

Salary is not always discussed in the first interview. Sometimes it is not mentioned until the last interview or offer.

I just think that the whole ordeal was nothing but posturing for the pres of the company............the choice was made already.

I dont have any.........Even if I did I would rather make my living based on my merits not by sucking the codsack of someone else

I'm not a big fan of that group interview idea, in fact I've never had one myself. It's like they want you to play Elimidate, where you basically have to show up the other guys as much as possible without making an ass of yourself.

It just sounds like you're bitter. There's a million factors that goes into choosing a candidate for a position. You can think you're perfect for the job or you aced the interview, but there are no guarantees. Assuming this is the first "real" interview you've had (since you didn't know what to wear, I'm going to assume yes) just chalk this up as experience and move on.

looks like an easy job, is it a big fort500 company? This job probably pays like $10-13/hr in my area, no need to get upset over it.

Not bitter, yes I REALLY wanted this job however I know there are plenty of other oppurtunities out there. But looking back on it so many things just point to posturing.

#1 I never stepped foot in the location the job was at....only 1 out of the 4 candidates did (frat boy)
#2 Female interviewer was talking about location and I told her I never saw it....she found this "weird, I'll have to ask Jeff what that was about"
#3 2 Out of the 5 interviewers went to the same college
#4 Both of those interviewers knew frat boy personally
#5 I was told the position was open b/c the person that held the position was there for 9 months and quote got "ancey".
#6 Said frat boy interviewer knew the guy that quit "personally"......and were good friends

I just think that the whole ordeal was nothing but posturing for the pres of the company............the choice was made already.[/
