when Muslims kill civilians in a foreign land, it's called terrorism.

when Americans kill civilians in a foreign land, it's not called terrorism.

Palin isn't the only one with a double standard.

another booboo, booboo.
There were also some cops killed.

Zoooom (there goes my point right over your head).

Palin said Obama 'pals around with terrorists' and refused to condemn abortion clinic bombers as terrorists.

Eric Rudolph killed a cop when he bombed the abortion clinic in Birmingham. So. What's your point, again?

And I truly could not care less about the dumb ass terrorist Weatherman Underground. But the bombing in Berkley in 1970 which killed a cop was presumed to be committed by the Weathermen.

No one ever claimed responsibility for the bombings on the west coast at that time. A grand jury had the opportunity to indict and did not do so. Did they do it? I don't know and I don't care. One thing I know for sure, the ones that know ain't talking.

There are a few among us who lived during the late '60's and early 70's. Few communities in the US were spared from the bitter ugliness of the times. Bomb threats at my schools growing up occurred on an almost daily basis. A Lumbee indian was shot and killed no more than 100 feet away from me when I was a teenager. I had a 22 pistol held to my forehead as a teenager. My front picture window was shot out. And I was one of the good guys.

SDS, Weathermen, Panthers, The Klan, Marxists, AIM, Socialists, Workers, whatever, you couldn't throw a rock without hitting a member of a radical organization, violent or not. I hung with the non-violent ones. My protest were based upon the Marlen Brando Principle. What are you protesting? What have yah got?

There were protests, shootings, burnings, bombings, war and assassinations continuously across the country. I could hitch hike to Washington faster than most folks could drive.

I know you felt you were being clever. Good for you. I'll give you a +1 and a little free advice. There is no such thing as traditional American values. America is based upon diversity and freedom not your values

I missed nothing merely noted your facts were inacurate.
You don't think I was alive in the early 60's?
For the record, I think she should have condemned them.
sure the bombers may have been protesting the murder of babies, but the end does not justify the means.
Bombing abortion clinics is not a suitable form of protest and I would view it as terrorism.
Now can you produce evidence that Sarah Palin was paling around with a bomber, then you will actually have a point.

And that makes it ok... :disgust:

Looks like you are leaping to another conclusion - just like you did with your ""McCain volunteer attacked and mutilated in Pittsburgh "" thread.

Try again.

maybe jumping to conclusions is better than lying like you did with your attempted apologism.

Apologism, CAD?

Sarah Palin refused to condemn abortion clinic bombings where people have been killed and maimed. She declined to denounce them as 'domestic terrorists'.

You are putting words in my mouth that are not there.

Can you see which finger I'm directing to you?

And? IMO she should have condemned it but it doesn't change the fact that you tried to lessen the bombings by Ayers with falsehoods.

Aww... having issues today?
Besides Palin being an Air head unqualified for the post she's running for? No.

BTW, many of the Right say she's the future of the Republican Party..

I don't doubt. There is a strong inverse relationship between Pandering to the social conservative base and the intelligence or even street smarts of the candidate.

"He pulled a Palin."

McCain has been paling around with an abortion bomber, in fact she was at the Republican Convention as a delegte.

Terrorist are only "Terrorists" when you disagree with their ideology. Those clinic bombers were doing God's work when they killed people, doncha know, you betcha!

Sarah Palin is the reincarnation of Helen Chenoweth. Some crimes are justified if they're against Godless atheists. Someone should ask her what she thinks of Timothy McVeigh.

"Now, others who would want to engage in harming innocent Americans or facilities that it would be unacceptable to--I don't know if you're going to use the word terrorist there, but it's unacceptable, and it would not be condoned, of course, on our watch."

Notice she said "harming innocent Americans." She doesn't say whether she thinks people who would be hurt at or near an abortion clinic qualify as "innocent." Nor does she say whether an abortion clinic is a facility that "it would be unacceptable to" bomb. Presumably "bomb" is the missing word in that sentence. it's awful nice of Palin to say that bombing people "would not be condoned" on her watch. That's about the weakest possible statement. Apparently Sarah Palin doesn't know the definition of "terrorism."

When is the Republican party going to just drop the evangelicals?

The circumlocutions they have to make when they talk about any of the evangelical "core issues" has to be hurting these days. Arguably, the only reason Palin's on the ticket, is to pander to this voting block. I have to think that at least a few of the high-level strategists in the Republican party are wondering if the effort expended on these high-maintenance votes is worth putting off more libertarian-minded voters.

A large number of the evangelical Republican base believe these folks are heroes and put bombing clinics and shooting doctors on the same level as attacking concentration camps during the Holocaust.

One man's domestic terrorism is another's divine mission.

Someone should ask her about the KKK's church bombing in Birmingham, Alabama.
