🙂 The other night the girlfriend and I had a nice little exchange of information. She wanted to know what defragging your harddrive does, and what benefits it provides to your PC.

In exchange for information, I had her explain to me...in a nutshell...the theory of evolution.

Oh how it is nice to have a significant other that isn't afraid to learn about "that boring computer crap".

After our information exchange we went and defragged like monkeys 🙂
 
well that sounds like an idea . . .my gf don't even own a pager. . i could tutor her, and she could uh teach me stuff too . . . hmm thanx for the idea, i was just gonna try to nek between games of solitaire, though she does know enough so that she got some dweeby kid she hangs out with in trouble. she was using his account, and was dissing and saying uh bad stuff to some guy he knew, but she didn'tknow the second guy; and that second guy complained to the ISP, and the first guy got in trouble for it.. .
So if you guys ever see me posting really wierd stuff. . .some night in the future, don't kill me.. . .i'll probly get her her own name on here, if she goes for it, and be monitiring what uh goes down. . .
 
I'd put money on it that she could take a pile of computer parts, identify them, and then build a PC out of them.

She might get hung up at the OS install, just because she hasn't done that before.

you should be thankfull... most of the people I know have trouble keeping up with me with what I'm talking about computers.. they barely know what a keyboard is, much less defragging. They're clueless. I don't consider myself an expert with computers, but it's nice every once in a while to have a conversation with someone who knows what the heck I'm talking about rather than going step by step to teach them what to do.
