ok ive had a me a job for a while, and at my age before goin to uni £6.60 an hour isnt half bad. its casual lifeguard at my local pool so i dont have set hours therefore pay rate will change week to week
this is what i am planning on......its main use will be games, then stuff like Divx encoding and MP3's i also like to use Virtual DJ, to mix mp3s
i will not be overclockin really, just want a fast out of the box rig that will be stable and quiet
AMD ATHLON 64 3000+ (not sure what core newcastle? or clawhammer?) either way its socket 754

so for my uses does this sound ok?.....have been thinkin bout the NF3 250Gb chipset with built in firewall tho it looks good. would like your opinions
if i dont get paid as much as i need, then il be thinking of Athlon XP 2500 (will then need to OC) and one of the new updated NForce 2 boards
probably sell my old rig on ebay after i touch up the cooling and fix a few things.
because of money i will be buying in this order
1.case ... then if i cant afford the rest least i have a nice case to put old computer in
2.mother board and CPU....then can use existing ram (its only pc2100 tho)
3. ram
4. graphics......if not then i will buy extra cooling for the GF3 i have, and overclock
5.HDD....can an will be still using the old ones for something
6. audigy.....coz i can do with onboard for a while
will be buying mostly from overclockersUK
or if any good deals appear on ebay
