These ads need to focus a little more on his systematic dismantling of institutions, refusal to consult expert guidance, and his inaction that exacerbated the current climate. The emotional everyone's hurting, orange man bad, isn't very substantive.

Doesn't have to be. It's aimed at Republicans.

tell me when anyone you know gets any unemployment.

OK. Are you ready, here goes:

Everyone that I know that has applied for it has gotten checks already. That would be approx 10 people so far.

I have not applied as I had furlough pay for two weeks and took vacation for two weeks. I'm now back at work.

It is good not to live in a shitty state.

Then you need to blame the shitty state administration of the states unemployment system.

It has nothing to do with Trump. Unemployment is handled by the state. :p

i've been getting unemployment, it's one of the only things i will give Georgia credit for lately. i definitely haven't been seeing an extra $600 a week though.

You should ask the state unemployment office as you are getting screwed.

A quote from SC:

The maximum amount of unemployment benefits you can receive a week in South Carolina is $326, but with this extra $600, you could receive up to $926 per week.

The Georgia site says this:

A few weeks ago, the Georgia Department of Labor began sending out the additional $600 weekly payments from the CARES Act, according to an April 19 update. The department has been told that they will be able to “backdate any payments for eligible weeks beginning March 29.”

However, the extra $600 for federal unemployment is taxed, because unemployment money is considered taxable income. Under the CARES Act, unemployment beneficiaries can receive an extra $600 a week from March 29 to July 25, which works out to $10,200 if you max out the benefit.

Unemployment money is income and has always been taxed. What is the point you are trying to make?

Unemployment is Taxable. Include all unemployment compensation as income for the year. Taxpayers should receive a Form 1099-G, Certain Government Payments, by Jan. 31. This form shows the amount received and the amount of any federal income tax withheld.

They're all flying the same flag. If the voters can't take it out on Scott & DeSantis then they'll take it out on Trump & their GOP reps.

I can't agree. Any value that comes from ads like this one is because it is being put out by conservatives. A conservative who turns on all the other conservatives isn't a conservative, or certainly will never be viewed as such. I understand the principle you're arguing here, but electorally speaking an ad like this works best when the conservatives backing it are only going against Trump.

Congrats-you're a team player. Principles have absolutely nothing to do with your loyalty so quit labeling your and those you support as conservatives. I'm a lifelong Democrat or unaffiliated, self-employed and I'm far, far more fiscally conservative in reality (but not in jargon) than The Donald or his enablers. What he has done to drive up our deficit-BEFORE Covid- is absolutely unforgivable in my opinion. Trillions of dollars of debt forced upon our kids (and those of you with a few decades left of employment) for no reason other than to goose the stock market and further stratify wealth and push USA into decline all that much faster.

The Lincoln Project has been zucked.

The pansy ass probably got a call from the orange menace to ban those ads.
Nothing in those ads running is false.

Fuck zuckerberg.

Yes, Facebook is saying the Trump campaign can post as many lies as it wants without consequence while simultaneously taking true ads that are critical of him down.

Shameful.

It was mostly a digital effort, but they spent a few thousand dollars to air the ad on Fox News during Tucker Carlson’s nightly show on Monday. The purchase — aimed at an audience of one — clearly hit its mark.
LOL :D

Reason #36875-8 why I will never sign up for Facebook.
I have an account but I almost never go there. I "know" a ton of people who post on Facebook but I almost never check out their posts. Just seems like such a bizarre place... bells, whistles, branching out in way too many directions at once and you get constantly badgered to "friend" people. 1/2 of those people have barely an idea who they are, some of them I've never heard of, lots of them. I have been thinking of cancelling my account, I know it's easy to do that. Don't know if it matters if I almost never post there. I wonder if I have much data there that I care to worry about. Once in a while something happens that makes me think maybe I shouldn't cancel, but mostly I just ignore it, even for posts from my family. I mean, I just don't want to hit a link to see a photo, it just seems retarded.

I've never been impressed with Zuckerberg. He might be OK, dunno. But anyone who cottons to the president is no friend of mine.
