That is exactly how Newegg does it. They go by west coast time, so 3 more hours...

Oh then good night - I need some shuteye!

I wonder where Newegg will price them out of the chutes.....I'll guess $239 for the 2500k and $339 for the 2600k.....just a guess

Maybe the Microcenter prices will make them honest but I'll bet Newegg doesn't care that much about Microcenter in-store promos. Only so many geeks that will be siphoned by that, vs all the others who will order thru Newegg

Well, off to TD then. I just mapped out the route to my nearest MC, it's an hour each way minimum. Still worth it I suppose, but I definitely want to see the online pricing...

I got the free shipping and no sales tax so it was $499 out the door. I sold my old system for $300 so it was about $200 to upgrade...

Gaming? I'd save the 100 bucks. How likely in 3 yrs are they gonna write games that take advantage of hyperthreading?

That seems to be what I am hearing...

For gaming, would you go so far as a 2500k and a GTX580?

You can't optimize for Hyperthreading. The more optimized your program is, the worse hyperthreading performs.
