1) get an A7V or KT7 mobo, both are damn fine boards. Read the AnandTech review.....
2) get a HB #2 pencil
3) join the L1 bridges on the Duron/Tbird if they are cut w/ the pencil
4) change the mutiplier to whatever you want, as well as FSB
5) get an Alpha Pal6035 and some Arctic Silver paste :)

John, the electrical resistance of normal pencils won't cut it... You'll need mechanical pencil lead.

Yucky, not to doubt you or anything, but I used a non-mechanical #2 pencil and it works just fine.

Jesus, if u can't even follow the simple instructions already provided and if you worried so much, then you shouldn't be doing the unlock trick at all! Is it this? Can I that? Come on.....

No kidding :)

and Yucky, pencil lead is pencil lead, it's the rating (HB, #1,2,3,4) that matters.

Yucky: I may be wrong, but I think the only reason mechanical pencils are recommended because those L1 bridges are TINY! When I first did this trick I needed a magnifying glass. I thought that the only different types of graphite were B, HB, etc.
