It's like rain...

I went to a wedding today between two friends of mine from a few years ago. The bride has a history of seizures. They mostly occur during high-stress situations, but they're rare. Her last one was two years ago, and the one before that was perhaps eight years before that. How much does it suck that it had to occur on her wedding day? I'm just glad it didn't happen during the ceremony or during the first few dances at the reception. About an hour after it happened, most of the group broke up and went home. She didn't even get to cut the cake.

Sucks.

That was my first thought. 😀

I had an outdoor wedding and it was raining not more than 2 miles away from our wedding, but it was nice and sunny (and 95 degrees :| ) where we were having the wedding 🙂

is there a reason she couldn't have just gone on after the seizure? probably take about 30 min to wake up, and then proceed to continue doing whatever the heck she was doing.

God I hate that song. Rain on your wedding day is a blessing not ironic! :|

Nothing in that song is ironic, just misfortune, and that is the ironic part about it... I think.

Whats with all the weddings around now? Almost all my friends had to go to a wedding this weekend, and it seems ATOT is no different.

That's what people do when they get older. Get married, have children, settle down...any of this sound familiar?

40-50 years from now you'll be commenting that it seems like all your friends had to go to a funeral this weekend.

Enjoy these times man!!! 😉

Actually there is one instance of irony (verbal/sarcasm). We went over this song in my 9th grade English class 🙂

I thought there were two, but I can't find the other one...

EDIT: maybe it's the 'meeting the man of my dreams' part?

when iwas a freshman in high school some kid had a seizure in class...we thought he was kidding and just laughed at him...finally the teacher found out what was going on a freaked out...a friend of mine called 911 on his cell ....everything was cool after the medics got there...

anywho...the stupid part...like two days later in the same class his phone rang and the bitch teacher took it up...he was like 'wtf!!! this phone saved someones life the other day!!!!" she didnt care >.>

Come on seizures are a truly serious thing, my bro has epilepsy, and its not pretty.

Many times after a seizure, your brain isn't completley reconnected with itself, combined with an acute sense of paranoia, can often lead someone who has just had a seizure to try to run away from those who he believes to be...captors is the only word I can think of.

no, quite a bit longer than 30 minutes. Last time this happened it was several hours

It's not the phone; it's the fact that the ringer was on.

Luckily she has no such delusions, but short term memory loss does occur.

😕

-The one person who wins the lottery dies the next day
-A pardon for someone on the death row 2 minutes after they already got executed
-Getting a free ride, when you've already paid for one
-A guy is afraid to fly, and on his first flight the plane goes down
-Getting stuck in a traffic jam, when you're late as it is (somewhat ironic)
-Seeing a "no-smoking" sign where you are taking a cigarette break
-Having 10,000 spoons but all you need is a knife
-Your "meeting the man of my dreams" part (somewhat ironic)
