It's kind of crazy that we don't have Broadwell quads for mobile

It's been about 6 months since Broadwell became available for mobile and Intel hasn't released any quad core mobile parts? Why not? The only conclusion I can think of is that in the dual core space (especially the Y parts, no so much the U's) that they have competition from ARM. But in the more muscular quad space they have no competition so Haswell is good enough.

I don't see why a lower clocked Broadwell quad couldn't reach down to 25W?
 
Quadcores in the mobile space is a niche. The most important parts comes first to nodes when capacity is limited.
 
Quads are all based off of desktop chips. Desktop BW 4+2 was canceled...so therefore mobile is also. We will see BW 4+3e though (likely mobile versions ending up in apple products).
