If it wasn't skin color, it'd just be something else.

Everyone says Whites are the most racist, and that whites aren't the subject of racism themselves. We're all the same damn race, we just have different skin color. Like people have different eye colors (I for one will only breed with other blue eye females, we must survive! ), it's just another physical characteristic.

There is plenty of inter-racial racism, if we will refer to it as that to keep things simple. People of a specific culture routinely attack those of a different culture. There are a variety of ethnic groups even within the same group of skin color. Same exact concept and reasoning involved, a feeling of dominance over other groups. Boils down to the very basic human belief of "one of us or one of them."
