So I drop by the beer store on my way home and pick out one of the seasonal ales and ask the guy what this one was like... is it loaded with cloves or is it sweet..?

He says it not too sweet, but "you always take a chance with seasonal ales."

I say yeah, I'm just waiting for the Sierra Nevada to come out.

He says we just got some of that, it's in the back, but it's not cold, do you want some?

I can't recall ever trying it, but I actually just took several 6 packs back for the bottle refund.. left over from last year.. lol

It's my favorite beer, I think. Kind of an IPA with all the hops, but a little darker, more malty.

It's not bad, but their tougher to obtain seasonal Bigfoot barleywine is just awesome.

I need to find something to replace the Sam Adams Octoberfest I've been drinking (need something new). Wonder if they sell that Sierra Nevada stuff here in NC?
