It's heating up! Will a car cover keep temps down?

I park my car outside when I'm at work. Will a car cover keep the temps down inside the car? Will it protect the paint or just make it worse?

What's the best car cover to buy? One that's easy to put on and take off daily? The car is a 350z coupe.

that's the OEM one I believe, $200.. pretty pricey.

I guess it probably would if it's a white cover. Otherwise I don't think it would make much difference. But I'm sure it would protect the paint from dulling if it's not in direct sunlight. I'd just hit up places like Target to see what they have for car covers. Might find a generic size that fits most cars...

i would go to a car parts store or something like that and ask them what would be best.

A car cover, even a black one, should cool off the car as you are illiminating the greenhouse effect of the exposed windows. Cracking the windows helps alot.
