If you want to give somewhere else do so. These are some of the causes I am doing this week.

Lita, a Irish Setter, was thrown from a car

No broken bones, but a long way to recovery.

Again great if you give elsewhere or can't afford, etc....if you can even give a buck it goes a long way.

Pre-emptively: THERE IS NO NEED TO THREAD CRAP IN THIS THREAD. TAKE YOUR THREAD-CRAPPING SOMEWHERE ELSE. -Admin DrPizza

Honestly all kidding aside, I fully support donating to help in things like this. I myself make a monthly donation of supplies to one of my local rescues. Supplies are always in need and it helps curb the fear of my money being used for something other than the animals.

I donate flats of food too.

Of course I also do my own efforts which amount to about 35 lbs of dry food and 100 cans of Friskies per week.

I don't know why people that do things can only do one thing.

Neighbor 5 doors down had a huge maple tree laying in her yard. She offered the firewood to a neighbor. That neighbor has simply made a mess in her yard. I went down last night with the tractor and picked up most of the large pieces with the bucket & drove them to the other neighbor's house (and put them neatly on his pile of logs that he had delivered.) The neighbor was very grateful that she can get her yard cleaned up now.

That was my good deed for the week.

Oh, and yet another letter of recommendation. I put nearly an hour of work into composing a letter for a student applying for a scholarship. Seeing the smile on a student's face after they read the letter you prepare for them is truly priceless.

And a mod note at the same time - there's no need to thread crap in Alky's thread. If you don't like it, simply stay out of the thread.

Thanks for ruining my day. You and Sarah McLaughlin can go suck eggs.

This. I'm normally a calm person, but when I see what people do to animals, it makes me want to cut them apart limb from limb. Will definitely be donating.

I can agree with more severe laws. In some places the penalties are more realistic...in others its a couple hundred bucks at best.

A lot of this scales to the human side as well, people that can torture something as sentient as a dog or cat don't really have much an issue hurting a person.

My dog was found in a trash bag at around 2 months old outside a known dog fighting area. He is an Australian Cattle Dog/Lab mix. They have Bull Terrier in them. The owner must thought as he grew he was becoming less 'Pit' and more 'something else' so threw him away.
