This is awesome. We order multiple times a week from Amazon and have different people who order different things. It has been a pain for those of us that order and our finance department keeping track of everything, especially now that the state is cracking down on not paying sales tax for consumables.

The IT Manager and I are both in nerd heaven right now because of this.
 
OK I'm interested. What exactly does it do to help with these things? Your link doesn't really explain the offering, just where to use it.

Yea for some reason I couldn't find that after I signed up :shrug:

Its awesome. Currently if someone needs something, they have to first figure out who to contact in our company to order it. Then they have to explain to that person why they need it and why they want that particular item. Then the person ordering it generally adds it to their shopping cart and orders a bunch of stuff at once. If its something needed right away, we have to empty our shopping cart, order that piece, then re-add everything. Then once a month the finance department comes knocking asking us to detail purchases so they can account for it. Once this is setup its going to streamline things and probably take a couple hours of work a month off my plate.
 
The PO tracking is something my purchasing peeps really want. After clicking around on the first link... Holy shit. Amazon is getting into materials and various manufacturing supplies. You can buy sheet steel, nowhere near what we use but STILL! I had no idea.
