I hate winter. :(

Anyone have any tips on clearing the frost off my windshield? :)

Lazy people use something like Prestone de-icer spray.
Hard working people use an ice scraper.
Paranoid schizophrenics stay in their car all night with the engine running to make sure the snow fairies don't steal their windshield.

We already got 6-16 ft... in the nearby mountains. They are the snowiest place in the world though.

Anyway, something out here I never had to deal with before is frost on the windshield - on the inside. It's easy to scrape away on the outside, but the inside is a pain since the windshield is curved the wrong way. Then you eventually end up using your hand or something and get it all dirty.

Our (hopefully) permanent snow fell a few days ago. It's been nothing but rain latetly and I'm so sick of it. I remember as a kid our permanent snow was here by end of October. Now "summer" (which I now call rain season) seems to extend till December.

I hope we get a couple good storms soon. It's not Christmas time without 6 feet of snow and week long blizzards.

we have been getting snow since september.
it's nice when you just get snow and no ice, makes the windshield very easy to wipe off, you just have to find the car and dig it out of the snow.
but then, i live in the mountains. so snow hits us early, often and lingers.

I wish electric in car heaters were standard, imo they should be, it's such a simple concept. You have to plug in the car anyway in winter, so it would also power the heater which you could program to start in the morning and the car would be all warm and snow melted by the time you get in.

One of these days I need to figure out a way to run a 120v plug inside my car and hookup a heater to it, then I could just plug the block heater + that heater into a timer.

I'm actually getting a bit worried. We normally have snow by Halloween and its still well above freezing and hardly any rain. I get the feeling that Mother Nature is saving up a big old dump for us. Either that or winter is going to last until May again.

If you live in the western US, it's ganna be a big winter. It's El Niño this winter so expect a lot of rain/snow.

I just hope it stays this warm until January, then I couldn't care less what the weather is because I quit work. I hate working in the cold and snow.

It's weird here. We had more snow in October than November. I don't mind. I love the winter, but it makes chores in the barn a pain in the ass, especially if the hose freezes up.

I'm honestly going to cut down on driving the second it gets below 0 (32 for the rest of you). I'm having enough trouble squeegy-ing my windshields of morning dew.
