Its Damn cold and I need a new hoodie, tips?

Alrighty all, I'm in the market for a new hoodie. it got damn cold real fast (4 F as I type) and my old hoodie isnt up to par.

I've purchased two from jinx and have been less than satisfied with both, I have a carpre Noctem one (L) who's head is so small even my GF has a hard time getting it on. the Geek insulation one is falling apart after only months of use

A while back I had bought a reddish (or so my GF says, I cant see red :-/) hoodie that I love. It was expensive as all hell ($60) but its lasted almost 4 years of abuse. however seems are starting to give, the material is thinning, and holes are forming.

any one know of decent hoodies? brands / etc?

My only criteria is that it must have thumb holes, and be red. zip-up or pull over prefered.
any tips?

Thumb holes?
This very ghetto feature where there are holes in front of the cuffs so the cuff wraps around your palm and your thumb sticks out. They make people look like hobos. Also, they're usually on women's sweaters... I haven't seen many (straight) men wearing shirts with them.

coats are too bulky, hoodie works just fine.

thumb holes look shady but are a very nice feature

quicksilver makes some real nice quality hoodies with really comfy lining. they make two types, and the type im talking about is a heavy hoodie, with what feels like a wool-type (not wool, but same feel) inside to it, and a high thread count outside, its real warm, i really reccomend it. its runs from 60 to 80 bux. its worth it though. i dont know what a thumb hole is.

I Resent that, I wear thumb holes in my sweatshirts and got into it from the guys i was in Boy Scouts with. Its a lot nicer to do climbing or cold weather hiking when you have the palms of your hands staying warm or padded

It was merely an observation. Google "thumbhole sweater" and you'll find many more women's items than men's.

wow get some gloves

I have some nice mittens that are convertible so I can get easy access to my fingers when I need a good grip

no clue what they're called but I'm sure there's a name and someone will reply with it.

right now, i'm in rochester, ny for college (RIT) and i usually wear two shirts and any kind of track jacket you name. yes i'm crazy to wear them during winter but it didn't affect me until i got bronchitis so i'm forced to wear hoodies instead.

an undershirt, a henley and a hoodie will suit me enough for all day.
