It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas

At least it is here in New York. First real snowfall where I am so far this season.

Has it snowed yet where you are, assuming you don't live in some eternally sunny place? Love it when snows enough to look beautiful out, but not enough to make it difficult to shovel snow in the morning :)

It's been sunny here for the past few years. It just doesn't feel like Christmas without the rain.

We got some snow in central TX yesterday, but not a lot stuck.

It was funny watching people on I-35 driving 50mph when the road was practically dry.

I just checked, it's snowing here right now!

Crap, I hope it doesn't stick - otherwise I'll be shoveling snow at work tonight. :\

Well, I hope you snow lovers enjoy it. :)

No snow where I live (middle of Sweden)... In fact today it was +5C and raining...Kind of unusual but not unheard of. In northern Sweden where my parents live, there's lots of snow.

We finally got our permanent snow recently as well. I remember as a little kid we'd have like 6 feet by now, but times have changed. Climate change and all. I also remember 25C+ weather in summer... we're lucky to get +15 now.

This is my current desktop:

It's kinda busy though, I keep loosing my icons in there. :p

It snowed in Virginia today.
If I had any sense I would have photographed it during the daylight.

Fortunately no snow here accumulating on the ground yet (western NY) - that'll give me one more chance tomorrow morning to find my Kabar knife that I lost while hunting. :(

Was it a big pig-sticker Kabar or one of the little skinning knives?

I am in CA at the moment, but it snowed by in my home state. It has snowed there for the past two years, which is unusual since it didn't snow for 14 years straight before that.

The snow gods were just waiting for me to leave D:

We had some snow on the mountains earlier in the week but that is mostly gone. More predicted for this coming week so maybe things will whiten up up there. Christmas lights are up, mostly. Still have a couple strands but not enough outlets. Maybe I can run a cord from the neighbor's house except with no snow they might notice.

On another forum I go to someone installed a sub panel just for Christmas lights. He has like 20 circuits outside LOL. That's a serious Christmas decor.

I have been laughing my ass off at the reports of up to 4 inches of snow in Southeast Texas...
rofl.gif

The news report said 100 or so flights cancelled at the Houston airports.

It's been cold here, (into the mid 30's at night) and we're supposed to have our first BIG winter storm of the season hit in the next day or two. Lots of snow in the mountains, lots of rain here in the valley.

Perhaps if the larger guys were doing this outside it would be warmer! :D

Snow is predicted in southern georgia, tonight. I hear snow used to occur a couple of times a decade but since I've lived here the last seven years, it's snowed five times - twice last year - enough to stick for almost a day.
