I forgot, did Quake 4 ever ship with COOP? It seemed like it was debated for the longest time, If COOP is in then im up for 2. If not, then I aint gonna bother.

Description on site states the following.
This is the full english import edition of Quake 4 DVD Edition

Not that it matters to me. Just an FYI for those looking. At this bargain bin price I couldn't resist, though.

Europe? At least, that's the rating on the box cover.

Just remember that the U.S. isn't the first English speaking country. :D

Are DVD-ROM's region encoded? Any chance this won't play on my Region 1 DVD player?

In for one, simply because it's $12.99, shipped.
I hated Doom3 before so not too sure about this one yet.

I preferred this one vastly over Doom 3. Much "brighter" graphics and overall better variety to the levels. The action is a bit faster paced as well but it is a bit more demanding as far as system requirements than Doom 3, howeever.

"Quake 4 is the first game to utilize id Software's revolutionary DOOM 3 technology. "

Because Doom 3 doesn't count :p

I see GoGamer.com has Google Checkout as an option. I'm guessing the $10 off $10 from Google for new customers would work right?

My guess is that Google Checkout wouldn't work because the price isn't $10 or more before shipping.

In for one. Thanks op! We'll see if there are any caveats to this import version. ;)

I really don't understand why ID released a single-player game instead of a followup to Quake III for online multiplayer. I enjoyed the original Quake and Quake II back in the day, but now I only play online multiplayer FPS. Saving my money for Unreal Tournament 3 (and a better video card) now.

I would like to know this too.

Edit: Looks like there's no coop. Does anyone know if there's a mod for it?

Quake 4 is WELL worth it for this price, if only for SP. MP doesn't let down either.

Got mine in 2 days.
The registration card inside has a UK address.
I guess that means it's a UK edition game.

Yea a lot of gogamer games are imports but they do tell you if you read the print (sometime fine sometime not - only time it seems to matter is patching. Only game i purchased that I regret was import was TOE - and I HATE atari. Hum... oh yea quake iv was enjoyable - nothing complex - just bang bang you're dead (well farcry is better :) )
