When i was in junior high/high school, we were taught an awful lot about Greek and Roman gods. Now Ive worked for a Chinese company for the last 2 years and they are all celebrate the Chinese New Year. They gave me a red envelope with money in it the last two years. Apparently on each one of the envelopes, there is a picture of a Chinese god. Now my point is, I consider myself somewhat edjumacated, but I never knew the Chinese Culture had gods as well. They never ever once touched on that in any of my history classes growing up. I wonder if they do now. Ive been at both inner city schools as well as suburban schools, never was taught any of this. Call me ignorant if you want, but it was never taught to me. Very interesting

Of course you're ignorant, but every single person in this world is ignorant, too.

Ocassionally, I wonder if there are people out there in the world who have never heard about the events of 9-11. I'm sure the answer is yes.

Obviously education in the US is geared towards the development of Western Civilization. If you had taken some Eastern Civ classes, you would have learned more about eastern cultures.

well, they are gods, per se....but no one really worships them. They are from the old days , pre buddhism. Then they got incoporated with Buddhism. But They aren't really religious anymore.
