It's amazing how much coffee can vary in "buzz" factors

I typically grind up and brew two big cups worth of Starbucks French or Italian roast and have it in the mornings. Yesterday I grabbed an off name breakfast blend yesterday and had that today.

One cup in and my hands are already gittery. Another cup and my teeth are probably going to start chattering...

I'm almost motivated enough to do housework right now!

I don't notice the caffeine difference usually, but there are vast differences in taste. Personally, I think the Starbucks house blend is lousy. I prefer to drink Hazlenut flavored coffee but will drink office "regular" when at work.

Yep I notice different buzzes from different coffee, usually I grind Starbuck's french roast, and I became tolerant to the buzz after a while. Then I switched to a columbian blend from Trader Joe's and BAM! I have the motivation again to do some things I only thought of doing.

I miss having a Trader Joe's nearby :(

Target used to have a "Hatian Blue Mountain" whole bean sold under their Archer Farms brand. It was expensive, but that stuff was like liquid crack. Holy crap that stuff had me tweaked after 2 cups.

:D Yep I enjoy mizing it up every now and then, and Trader Joe's certainly has a good selection for good prices.

I wish coffee did that for me. I drink coffee, and my heart starts pounding, I start shaking, and it all just makes me feel worn out. Kind of one of those, "Oh god I feel like I'm going insane, I've gotta sit down now." I'm just not an adrenaline junky.
Fortunately, coffee does come in decaf varieties. :)
