Aren't aware of how unhealthy it is. They're great when you hungry and you don't have time to cook or too lazy to prepare your own meal. Such as popeye's, KFC, mcdonald's, wendy's, burger king, arby's, TACO bell, chick fil' la. There was a girl taking order at wendy's and she was extremely chubby, the result of eating fast food 24hrs a day? I've had it, this will be my last time eating out, it was addictive and convenient. was quite filling but excessive w/salt and you have to drink a lot of soda or you will get really sick due to high in cholestrol. just about everything is deep fried or high in FAT. Notice that chicken nugget's from mcdonald's/wendy's are really frozen stuff from the grocery store which you can get it much cheaper by baking it yourself, taste just as great, and less grease as well.

people make eating out unhealthy. there are alternatives at every restraunt...no matter what. most places have pretty good salads and alternatives to burgers. go to wendys and get a baked potaoe with just a bit of butter and a salad, or go to arbys and get a deli sandwhich instead of a huge arby melt and fries. people can choose, but most of the time they choose the fried burger or chicken.

people have to realize that everything is ok, IN MODERATION.

Wow, you're a genius. I never knew fast food was unhealthy! Can anybody confirm this?

Everyone I know knows exactly how unhealthy junk food is, doesn't mean you can't eat it every now and then. Also eating out doesn't have to mean eating junk food. When I "eat out" it means a real restaurant, not McDonalds.

There are lots of alternatives. McDonald's has salads with chicken. Burger King has Chili and side salads that you can eat. However, people mostly just eat the burgers and fries at those places.

I've actually been eating more frequently at fast food places. I've stayed away from the burgers and fries, though. I've also found that I'm able to sit, relax and enjoy my meal while I slowly eat my meal. I really don't mind the fast food places, provided I make the right eating decisions.

You can eat healthy at fast food beleive it or not. Well not real healthy, but in a pinch you can do it without clogging arteries too bad. For instance you can get a whopper at burger king, and just by taking off the mayo you save 28 fat grams and if you cut out the fries its not too bad. Many served grilled chicken sandwiches as well. I would say that most people are not nutrition literate and do not realize how much fat and cholesterol is in a big mac value meal.

I eat out alot too, (I work nights, so I am too tired and busy getting ready for work at night to make dinner), but I have lost weight doing so. It's like they said, its all about making the right decisions.

Wendy's has some kickass salads!

Well there's your problem, you're idea of "eating out" is "fast food". When my wife and I want to eat out, we go to Friday's, Olive Garden, chinese, ChiChi's, Ruby Tuesday, etc. And then we usually order something healthy and balanced. At Country Cupboard (not sure if that is a franchise or just local to our area), I get the full Spinach Salad, and also order a meal of Liver and onions. Mmmmm boy do I feel good after leaving there...

Even the alternatives aren't that healthy, people get fooled... Salads made mostly of Iceberg lettuce are a waste of time, you're basically getting your calories from the croutons and dressing. Baked potatoes in generally are just a starch, it's better to eat red-skin potatoes (better mineral/vitamin content). But... Arby's really did a good job offering those deli sandwiches. They use very nutritious (and quite yummy) bread, with the good kind of lettuce and red onions. The deli meat is also much better than the average fast-food meat - I would compare it to subway, actually I think it might be better than subway's.

wish I didnt have to eat out but I hardly have the time to cook myself a meal. :( Often times it is better to eat out but pick from non-fast food restaurants. :)

I used to eat at Sonic 2 or 3 times a day. Anywhere I can eat for cheaper than $5 is cheaper than making a meal at home for me. Any leftovers will just go to waste, and all the stuff you have to buy just to make a hamburger etc is way over $5, plus no clean up. Im sure I will start eating at home once I get married, because then it is cheaper. I can eat at Furr's for $5 for a AYCE. I love student discounts. Wendy's $1 menu also is good for saving a few dollars.

I maintain the same weight, I just dont eat ANY form of sweets and I stay away from sugars. (yes I know bread has sugar, unless you get Mrs. Baird's Sugarless bread) but im talking about anything sugar is added to to make it sweet tasting.

My diet:

I eat a double cheeseburger with extra pickles from burger king every day.

And I drink mountain dew/code red.

And that's it. Sometimes chips in the afternoon.

They know very well it isn't healthy for them. It is an exceptionally flawed view to think that the only reason people make bad choices because they don't know any better. Bullsh-t. They know better, they are betting it won't happen to them.

People jump out of airplanes betting it won't happen to them.

People dangle off sheer cliffs betting it won't happen to them.

People speed down the highway betting it won't happen to them.

People ski down treacherous mountain tops betting it won't happen to them.

People smoke cigarettes betting it won't happen to them.

Show me a person who believes the only reason people make risky or bad choices is because they don't know any better, and I'll show you either a naive fool, or a personal injury trial lawyer.

It's all on how your metabolism breaks it down. If you're like me, you can eat fast food whenever you want and it won't matter. My doctor still cannot understand how I can get away with such unhealthy eating habits, but oh well. I guess my big thing is to try and gain some kind of weight on me, but it hasn't worked yet. Right about now I miss eating McDonald's inbetween my morning classes at college. :(

so because a girl is chubby and you see her at a fast food place you automatically think it's because she eats to much fast food? Do you see her there every day or was that the first time you have seen her?

Your not going to gain weight eating fast food!

Go hit eat tuna. Eat at least a can a day and I bet you will gain weight.

Do squats also that will gain you weight fast.
