It's that time again.
The 12 month product update from nVidia is coming up!
We just had the fall refresh (TI series) so where is all the info on the next latest and greatest?
The marketing behemoth should be well underway!
C'mon Anand we know you know, spill the beans!

Hmmm, nvidia are still running late.
Geforce3 should have been out this time last year but wasn't until spring. The 'ti' refresh was in the middle of summer.
Now its approaching the middle of November, the time for 'the new product every fall' is passing by.
If they do announce a Geforce4 and its not available by christmas, they are running late again.

No, I'm not having a pop at nvidia, but I've had enough of hearing how they meet their product deadlines when the GF3 was so overdue.

Not sure if it means anything, but in the latest Digit-life monthly 3D guide there is a section on what new cards they will include next month...

Cards coming in the next 3Digest:

ATI RADEON 7000 (RADEON VE, 64 MBytes);
ATI RADEON 7200 (RADEON 64 MBytes SDR);
NVIDIA NV25 (?)
NVIDIA GeForce2 Titanium 32 MBytes

There really isn't much to bring out, the fastest RAM is already being used, you're just going to end up paying $600 + for a new card if you want something faster. They can increase the 2d options, and try some fancy memory tricks, but people might get mad at no real speed advantage if they rush it out now.

Since nForce took so damn long to come out with all the problems, I'll bet it slowed down their chance to work on a new chip.

Nah, they have something in the works. Nvidia is just more tight lipped than other companies. I remember thinking I was going to buy a voodoo 5 back in the day (after being psyched about it for months), and out of the blue, the Geforce 2 was announced and released a week later, and still no voodoo 5 on the shelves! So yeah, Nvidia's finishing up a part, but why mention it now and blow geforce 3 sales this xmas? Nope nope nope.
