Yup, that's right.. we've heard it from on high: May 21, 2011 marks the beginning of "the Rapture", and by October 21 the Earth will be gone.

Somehow, though, I don't think P&N will stop being the cesspool that it is.. even after this "Rapture"; the idiots will find a way to respawn.

I'm pretty stoked, these idiots have been all over Union Square for months now. My favorite part is that their prediction is VERY specific; there's supposed to be a huge earthquake just before 6PM on Saturday.

I for one am going to happy hour and having an apocalypse party to celebrate.

For Christians that try to predict the date I would ask them how they know when even Jesus didn't know?

I think this end of the world thing is great. It will save me a lot of money. If the world ends on 21 MAY, then I won't have to take the wife out for a fancy dinner on our wedding anniversary, which is 22 MAY.

Apparently I misunderstood things. According to one of my favorite news sources ( http://www.doonesbury.com ) this Saturday is the rapture, the world actually won't end for the rest of us until October.

So my party for Sunday is back on, but I'm not going to buy the booze until late Saturday, just in case.
