...that I ask again if anyone has any, and I mean ANY(!), information regarding the situation with CDR software and the Asus CUBX's onboard CMD contoller. I have tried the latest drivers from Asus's site, tried every configuration I can think of, etc, etc...I'm left with the option of either not installing the driver and having quite lousy hard drive performance, or installing it and basically rendering my Plextor 12/10/32 useless. Help!! Please!! I beg you!! ANYONE!!!
 
All I can say is that I have used the same board in a couple computers and I have had nothing but trouble with the CMD controller. I have tried about every combination of setups with an IBM 75GXP and a Yamaha 8/4/24 burner and the CMD is less efficient than the 440BX southbridge. I am also looking for answers. I have tried different BIOSs and Drivers.
