It's a down right, dirty rotten trick I tell you!

Sitting here this morning drinking a cup of coffee and hear a truck outside. I look out the window and 'lo and behold, its the FedEx truck.
I could picture myself, awash in all my brand new parts.

All I got was my case and motherboard 🙁
The rest of the parts are still in Los Angeles.

Somewhere.. the God of computer builds is laughing his arse off at me 😛

That is one of the worst metaphors I have ever heard.

Yep... holding off for a Dump could definately be a killer... career killer... friendship killer... you name it! 😉

It is so much better for you, if you do a little, many times a day!
Those big flushes can cause damage.

Last time I found the little tag on the door saying I could pick it up between 3:00 and 9:00
if I didn't want to wait for re-delivery..... Too bad it was 9:15 when I got home 🙁

(I should've just taken a dump 😀 )

i had sorta the same thing today, i had my ram and cpu on the way, already had my case and motherboard...
so i track via fedex this AM and i see only my RAM on truck for delivery, naturally i was a little disappointed. ie pissed.
so this afternoon comes and viola! got em both in my grubby little hands and am counting down the minutes until 5
what a LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG afternoon its been
i wanna get home and get my 2100+ and 8RDA crankin on some DF baby!
and play some games too. 😉
weeee!

Let me redo that,
The wait for the rest of the parts can be a Killer. It ranks up there with holding off for a big flush. 🙂

My motherboard is stuck in Indianapolis right now, and I doubt they'll (Fedex) will bring it tomorrow, even though they probably could, because "Order not due for delivery" (that's what happened last time, and I had to wait two freaking extra days to get my damn parts!).

That sucks..

I just tracked mine.. and it left Indianapolis at 2:26PM headed for Memphis. Which means I will get it tommorow with any luck at all.

I was happy when I saw the UPS truck today. My refurbished 21" Nokia 445Xi Plus showed up a day early.

But then reality set in. I opened the first box (tape and big copper staples). I opened the inner box (more tape and big copper staples). I pulled about 4 cubic feet of peanuts out and 50 feet of bubble wrap only to find that UPS can break anything, even if it's packed to withstand WW3.

The front bezel was broken, the piece the bezel snaps into was also broken, screws were heard rolling around inside the case (on top of the PCB), and I could see the degaussing ring and the tube was pushed back into the case but not broken.

I filed my claim with UPS, but it could take months to see any money at all! :|

Damn, that royally sucks. 🙁

Anyway, FedEx decided to suprise me by loading the package on a delivery truck shortly after it arrived in Terre Haute this morning. Should mean that I'll be getting it later today. 😛

I hate waiting for parts. There is a HUGE difference between getting your stuff on Friday as opposed to Monday. I try to buy early in the week so I know I'll have a fun on the weekend. 🙂

ROFLMFAO~! good one Geoff 😀

W00t, my FedEx package came today, with everything intact (of course, since they're not UPS). 😀

It's system build time tonight. 😛

Good luck getting your parts, Christof. Hope they come soon for ya. 😎

you know what i love, when you get one of those nice firm dumps that just slides out and needs minimal attention. But they're few and far between - usually i need at least 5 minutes in there (the Computer room of course.... what did u think i meant ?????)

Scatalogical humor!! w00t!!

I hate waiting for parts. I had my empty case waiting for the rest of my stuff for a week. It looked so sad and lonely sitting on the bathroom sink while I took a dump.
