I'm just up doing some work and listening to some music. My dad wakes up and comes knocking on my door.
"Who rang the doorbell?"
I thought it was an odd question. No one has ever rang the doorbell around this time. I looked out the window. No one was there. I opened the door just to double check. Still no one was near the vicinity. I picked up the phone and dialed my friend. His brothers and him are the only ones who hang out this late at my house. My friend picks up the phone and answered in his sleepy voice. He said they were all sleeping. That's odd, I thought.
Who the heck would ring the doorbell this time around?
I've heard stories of people being awaken by loud knocks on their door in the wee hours of the morning. My friend said that a guy banged on their door really loud at 1 AM a few years ago. They didn't open the door. The guy went to their neighbor's house and started banging again. This time the neighbor called 911. It turned out that the guy was stabbed while riding with someone. He was dropped off in the neighborhood.
My superstitious grandparents used to tell me that if someone knocks on your door in the early morning and no one is at the door, then it could be a ghost. They said to not open the door or the ghost will come in. Oh well, I guess I better start praying.
