that's a great idea, except I'm at a client's office using their corporate network setup and I don't think independent router setup is an option.

Bluetooth DUN has been around forever. If your PC is using the Microsoft stack, it has the ability to do it.

Your iPhone does not have the proper Bluetooth DUN profile to receive and there is no provision to add it. Thanks Apple!
