it's 11 pm on a raid night

Am I the only one here that only knows world of warcraft from the south park episode?

Fantasy stuff... yeach.

Nope. For the longest time, I thought WoW was a reference to that "world of wonder" store where you could drop your kids off to play in the ballpit while you go cheat on your husband.

Most people are thankful for family, friends, food, and their happiness come Thanksgiving. I'm thankful I never started playing WoW.

idk.... I was having guild drama last week so I decided that I'd take some time off.

I kinda want to log-in and raid and feel guilty for not playing; I don't know how much of that is actual desire to play versus addiction, though it's not like I'm doing anything more productive with my time (spent the night neffing, chatting on facebook, and catching up on my netflix)

Sounds like someone getting over a breakup or trying to quit smoking. Seriously, delete that shit and move on.

seriously, you shouldn't feel pressured to do that shit

The hardest part about games like WoW is you do in fact develop a friendship with guild members but lot of them are only accessible in game, so if you want to see your friends you have to log in and well then you end up playing for hours.

It was like this with my UO guild. We were all a very tightly knit group but hardly talked outside of game, we had forums but not everyone posted very often. The shard got super boring so half the time we'd just be sitting in our guild house dueling or just talking. The pvp had gone to shit due to hackers so we gave up on it. Sadly the guild eventually died off due to certain incidents such as me getting banned LOL.

Same thing happened with my UO addiction. Pvp went into the toilet and everyone was duping bags full of castle deeds or gold. The fun went down hill quick. Then, I heard about Everquest... And let's not talk about WoW. 😱

Man I loved WoW for the first year or two.. I do miss it from time to time, it's a fun game. It's just not nearly as good as it was a few years ago.

LoL!

I had no problems quitting WoW. All I wanted to do was hit 80 then do a little pvp (which i'm terrible at) and call it a day. Getting yelled at by some prepubescent nerd because I'm not top 3 in the damage meters was never my thing.
