I have a wireless router needless to say my itouch won't connect to it. Under settings..wifi..it actually has a checkmark next to the wireless network, but when I try to go online with it, it says I dont have any connection. My g/f just used her laptop here with the wifi no prob, so its not my router. I looked on a website that said to change the DNS to 208.67.222.222 and that woudl work.. but no luck. suggestions?

I have the same issue with my 2nd gen 32GB that I actually took it to the Apple store to get it looked at. Their diagnostics showed no problems whatsoever, and I've tried resetting network settings several times. At the end I can only conclude that the wireless range in the Touch is more limited than Apple advertises, and it will automatically drop connections after periods of inactivity. The only potential fix I can think of is to relax your security settings on your router (which I didn't do and won't recommend), reposition your router for better connectivity/get new router setup with WDS, or simply try to live with it.

I fixed it..I went under the options and selected "renew release" and after a min or two it came on. So if anybody is having that issue that might work.
